DODGE COUNTY SPORTS COMPLEX
Dodge County Sports Complex's mission is to ensure that youth in Dodge County and surrounding communities have access to affordable personal development athletic opportunities. This includes top tournaments and competitions locally.
OUR STORY
The Dodge County Sports Complex (DCSC) started looking at opportunities for a complex in our community in the fall of 2022. With the growing need for athletic space in Fremont and the growing interest in select sports, a feasibility study was completed to show the need in our community. Many local athletes have to seek training, instruction, and competition opportunities outside the Fremont area today. Underrepresented families have also lacked competitive affordable youth sports opportunities and therefore miss life-changing personal development and scholarship opportunities by being absent from top tournaments and competitions. Studies show that youth in rural counties experience obesity at a higher rate than their suburban or urban counterparts. Our proposed complex addresses these youth community needs. The Fremont community continues to face growing difficulty in attracting and retaining young professional talent. Often these talented people weigh the availability of recreational facilities as a key factor in career and location choices.
